This unique one year postgraduate program (MSc) in Forensic Investigation Heritage Crime, will equip you with the skills to investigate infractions involving everything from shipwrecks to art work. Conflict and criminal activity continue to pose significant threats to cultural heritage not just on the national front, but on a global scale as well. Destruction, theft, trafficking, forgery, fraud and laundering of cultural property has pointed to the need for specially qualified, skilled professionals to combat cultural heritage crime.

This fascinating program was developed in consultation with cultural heritage professionals, military agencies, law enforcement and art market stakeholders. This means graduates will be well poised to understand and develop the international network and necessary skills required to work in the global field of heritage crime investigation and cultural property protection.

The MSc Forensic Investigation of Heritage Crime is suited to students who already possess a background in forensic science or scientific discipline, or the professional equivalent. However, students with other degrees who can show a knowledge of and interest in the scientific elements of the subject will also be considered. A security clearance is also required.
