One huge advantage to pursuing postgraduate studies overseas is the fact that many of the courses are only 1 full year, as opposed to the 2 years often required back home in Canada. The other bonus is that qualifications in all of these areas, including programs such as Chiropractic, Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy, are easily transferred so that graduates are able to work in their field of specialty upon returning home to begin their job search.
Learning postgraduate skills in an international setting is highly sought after by many employers. They know that not only are overseas graduates capable of being independent in new environments, but employees are also able to work effectively with people from all over the world. Of course, on a personal note there is the added plus of cheap international travel on your weekends off from school, so that you can travel to London, Paris or a host of other world class cities!
