Thinking about a career in teaching? Are you a Canadian resident? Applications are now open for the 1 year Teaching degree (PGDE) at the University of Strathclyde in Scotland and Bangor University in Wales.
Teachers college is already extremely competitive in places like Ontario and that competition is likely to increase as the province switches its curriculum from a two year degree to just one year. Overseas however, a number of places are reserved SOLELY for International students, increasing your chances of acceptance if you are qualified.
Not only do you get a chance to live and learn in the UK, but you can use Canadian student loan programs such as OSAP to help with tuition. Qualifications transfer easily to working back here at home.
Both of these programs contain a large number of in class training hours to meet teaching requirements for certification and increase your skills and confidence in the classroom.
