The preservation of the world’s biodiversity is facing increased pressure from human demands on both space and resources. This Masters degree in Wildlife Biology and Conservation at Edinburgh Napier University will provide you with the necessary skills to expertly meet this growing challenge.

In this one year long, postgraduate program, the disciplines of wildlife biology and conservation biology are combined under the guidance of leading experts in their fields. This is the first and only degree in Scotland to be accredited by theĀ Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM).

Graduates have been successful in finding careers in a number of areas including environmental consultancies, government agencies and independent wildlife organisations nationally and internationally. Throughout this program you will learn:

  • advanced analytical skills for population quantification and management
  • practical skills used in identifying, quantifying and assessing biodiversity
  • transferable skills including communication, IT (GIS, R), problem solving, research and team working
