Studying to be a chiropractor is much simpler in the UK. Canadians are allowed to apply DIRECTLY from high school to study for a Masters in Chiropractic with a Foundation Year. This 5 year program at the University of South Wales saves you both time and tuition compared to the requirements here in Canada, AND qualifications transfer to working back here at home.

This program is accredited by both the General Chiropractic Council (GCC) and the European Council on Chiropractic Education (ECCE). These accreditations mean that graduates meet national and international chiropractic accreditation standards.

During your studies, you will be trained to understand the human body in health and disease. You will also be taught to identify abnormalities of human structure and function, and manage patients through manual methods. Techniques include manipulation, soft tissue techniques and active rehabilitation.

Clinical experience is a very important component of training when it comes to employability. It is also major part of your chiropractic training at South Wales. Elements of clinical work are introduced from the start and are carefully integrated to reinforce your academic study.

Your final year is a clinical placement, during which you will treat and manage patients with musculoskeletal disorders to develop your clinical skills, confidence and employability.
