A huge honour for Hotel School students at the University of Essex! Their Edge Hotel School students have been crowned European champions, which is the biggest hospitality school competition in Europe!
Even more impressive, the team pulled off the win despite only competing for the first time. They triumphed over 28 other institutions in a contest where they were asked to tackle real-life industry challenges. One example was coming up with solutions for improving staff retention at a Dutch hotel.
According to the Deputy head of school Adrian Martin this win “signals a bright future for our students, who are already in great demand.”
Congratulations to the winning team from Essex: Fernando Odio Esquivel, Emma Sharma, Megan Ellis Smith, Alexander Horswill, Isabelle White, and Chelsy Rafael Sanchez!
